Houston is the name of a Drifter colony in the Titan AE universe. It is one of many floating space colonies that were formed after the destruction of Earth in 3028 AD.
Like all drifter colonies, Houston is built out of various decommissioned space vessels bolted together.
History[]
After Earth was destroyed, Houston worked to develop a labor pool that could be hired by the other alien races, doing work cheaper so they could be hired. Thus the colony possesses vast electronics sweatshops, where people assemble components for alien computers.
Akima Kunimoto spent much of her childhood in the Houston colony after she and her grandmother left Earth. In 3035, Akima and her grandmother left Houston to live in New Marrakech after getting in touch with their relative Yoshi.
In 3038 (10 AE), Akima moved back to Houston with her Mantrin friend Stith. Here, they began a successful cargo hauling business which gained a reputation throughout the Spiral Arm for Akima's expert piloting skills.[1]
